My desk phone was used with another provider - how do I set it up for CircleLoop?
Learn how to reset and clear existing provider settings on Snom and Yealink desk phones before registering them with CircleLoop.
If your Snom or Yealink device has previously been registered with another telephony provider, you may have to overwrite the default settings in addition to Factory Resetting the device.
SNOM
In order to overwrite the default settings, please follow the below steps:
- Perform a factory reset of your phone.
- Identify the IP (v4) address of your phone (this can be done by pressing [UP] (^) on the keypad, and the choosing [Information] (5), followed by [System Info] (2).
- In an Internet Browser, enter the IP address of your phone in place of the website address.
- Sign into the phones settings page. The default username and password are both “admin”.
- From the menu on the left, select [Advanced].
- If prompted, log in with the password “admin123”.
- Select the [Update] tab along the top.
- Locate the ‘Upload Setting File manually’ option located in the middle of the page, and select [Choose File].
- Click [Load] to upload the replacement configuration file.
- Click [Reboot] to restart the phone.
- Continue the phone setup in CircleLoop.
YEALINK
In order to overwrite the default settings, please follow the below steps:
- Identify the IP (v4) address of your phone, this can be done by pressing the OK or ✔ key depending on your model.
- Navigate to the deskphone settings webpage by entering the IP address into your web browser.
- Login to the deskphone settings webpage, the default username and password are both set to "admin".
- Click "Account" in the navigation menu.
- Under the SIP Server 1, erase the "Server Host" field
- Click "Confirm" at the bottom of the page.
- Continue deskphone setup with CircleLoop.
